Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: March 2026 · Effective immediately
Short version: Some links on RaisedPaw are affiliate links. If you buy through them, we may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you. This money funds our free content. It never influences which products we recommend.
What Is an Affiliate Link?
An affiliate link is a special URL that tracks when a visitor from our site makes a purchase on another website. When you click one of these links and complete a purchase, the retailer pays us a referral commission — typically 3–10% of the sale price. You pay exactly the same price you would have paid without our link.
We participate in affiliate programmes run by retailers including (but not limited to):
- Amazon Associates (Amazon.com / Amazon.co.uk)
- Chewy Affiliate Programme
- Ollie Pet Food
- The Farmer's Dog
- Nom Nom (Now / Purina subsidiary)
- Hill's Science Diet / Hill's Pet Nutrition
- Royal Canin
- Petco Affiliate Programme
- ShareASale network partners
- Impact Radius network partners
How Affiliate Relationships Work at RaisedPaw
What we promise you
Our editorial independence is non-negotiable. We operate by the following rules, and they are not flexible:
- No paid placement: Brands cannot pay to be featured, ranked, or mentioned in our editorial content. A product appears in our guides only because we believe it is genuinely good, not because of any commercial arrangement.
- No review manipulation: We do not accept free products in exchange for positive reviews. When we test products, we disclose if we received a complimentary sample — and that disclosure does not change our rating.
- Commission does not change recommendations: If two products are equally good, we recommend both. We do not recommend the one that pays a higher commission over a better product that pays less.
- We turn down partnerships: We have declined affiliate relationships with brands whose products we cannot honestly recommend. Earning more money from a product is never a reason to recommend it.
- Prices are accurate at time of writing: Prices change frequently. We link to the best price we know of at time of publication, but always verify before purchasing.
How we identify affiliate links
In accordance with FTC guidelines, we identify affiliate relationships throughout our content in the following ways:
- A site-wide disclosure notice appears in our footer on every page
- Articles containing affiliate links include a disclosure near the top
- Our Shop page carries a persistent banner disclosure
- Individual product cards may be marked "affiliate link" where space permits
FTC Compliance
This disclosure is made in compliance with the United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255). If you are a visitor outside the United States, we comply with equivalent disclosure requirements in your jurisdiction, including the UK's Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) guidelines and the EU's Unfair Commercial Practices Directive.
Sponsored Content
Occasionally, RaisedPaw publishes sponsored content — articles, guides, or reviews that a brand has paid to have created. All sponsored content is clearly marked with a "Sponsored" or "Paid Partnership" label at the top of the piece. Even in sponsored content, we maintain editorial control: we will not publish claims we cannot verify, and we include honest assessments of limitations alongside benefits.
Email Newsletter
Our weekly newsletter may contain affiliate links. Every issue that does will say "This email contains affiliate links" near the top.
Our Conflict-of-Interest Policy
Writers and editors at RaisedPaw are required to disclose any personal financial interest in products they review or recommend. No team member may review a product from a company they have a personal equity stake in. Veterinary advisors who review our content may not have commercial relationships with brands whose products appear in articles they review.
Questions or Concerns
If you have any questions about our affiliate relationships, believe we have failed to disclose a material connection, or have concerns about a specific recommendation, please contact us:
- Email: editorial@raisedpaw.com
- Contact form: raisedpaw.com/contact
We take editorial integrity seriously and will investigate and respond to all concerns within 5 business days.
Our commitment: RaisedPaw will always prioritise your pet's wellbeing over our revenue. If we would not give a product to our own animals, we will not recommend it to yours.
